Learn the basics of hand quilting

In this 2-hour class, kids are invited to draw or write a story and then bring their story to life in fabric! Kids will have lots of options, including hand or machine appliqué, embroidery, and fabric markers and watercolor pencils to add details to their textile story.

Create your own version of a quarter-circle quilt top

Is your tween interested in quilting, but not sure where to start? Do they have a creative quilting project they want to make, but need help with design or techniques? In this small-group session tweens are invited to work on their own creative quilting projects. If they need inspiration, we’ll have pre-cut fabric squares to jump right into sewing patchwork!
